About the Author
Genine LaTrice Perez is a devoted follower of Christ, author, speaker, nonprofit executive, prevention professional, recording artist, Air Force veteran, and mother whose life changed forever when her daughter, Olivia DaVinci Vaughn Perez, was killed by a distracted driver on November 3, 2016—one day before her twentieth birthday.
As founder and Executive Director of Teen Tours Society, Inc., Genine has empowered thousands of young people and families through prevention education, leadership development, service, and community engagement. A Certified Prevention Consultant and passionate advocate, she has transformed personal loss into a mission of purpose, healing, and hope.
Her most personal work, I Am Still Her Momma, offers an intimate journey through child loss, enduring love, faith, and learning to live while carrying grief. Through her writing and ministry, Genine reminds grieving hearts that healing is not about moving on, but moving forward with love.
